Allison Wudarski and Aileen Lynch teach kindergarten classes at Mitchell Elementary.  A year and a half ago, Delaware Valley Fairness Project funded Ms. Wudarski’s request for a fish tank to bring to life the children’s study of living organisms.   This fall,  we were happy to be able to support a request from Ms. Lynch for a tank and two axolotls, small Mexican lizards.  As in the case of Ms. Wudarski, Ms. Lynch wanted to give her students the opportunity to learn about life cycles and living organisms by caring for living creatures and watching their development.    Both teachers have found that kindergartners learn best when able to make real world connections.
