Projects and Programs DVFP Supports

Delaware Valley Fairness Project assists teachers and schools by providing resources for projects that meet the criteria we specify.   The projects we intend to fund during the 2024-25 school-year will address one of the following:  

  •  BASIC LIFE SKILLS (examples: understanding money, government basics, healthy eating and behaviors).
  •  STARTING OR MAINTAINING A SCHOOL GARDEN.
  •  VISUAL OR PERFORMANCE ART.
  •  MAKER-SPACE.
  •  CREATIVE WRITING.
  •  LEARNING THROUGH USING OUR IMAGINATION.
  •  PEACEFUL RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES.
  •  LEARNING THROUGH PLAY.
  •  LEARNING THROUGH SERVICE OF OTHERS.

 

What We Do Not Fund

At this time, we do not fund equipment requests such as printers or computers other than as essential to a specific project.  We also do not fund general classroom supplies.

Who May Apply

Teachers and staff in any pre-K -12 school in southeastern Pennsylvania or southern New Jersey are eligible to apply.

Application Deadlines

Applications may be submitted each year between September 15th and November 15th and between January 15th and March 15th, but projects are only funded until all funds are disbursed. Decisions on applications are made at least once per month.  Preference is given to applicants who have not received an award during the current school-year.

Application Guidelines

  • Applications may not exceed $400.
  • Applicants must provide the total amount being requested and line-item (item by item) cost data noting the source of the cost. The amount being requested may not exceed the lesser of the total cost of items listed or $400.  
  • NEW THIS YEAR:  Applicant must provide a photo or sketch in some way descriptive of the project and which applicant is authorized to allow us to publish on our website and/or in our newsletter.  
  • Documentation of the use of the supplies or funds (including receipts) are required within 30 days of use.
  • We retain the right to recover all supplies or funds not used for the purposes stated in the application.
  • All non-consumable products will be the property of the school.
  • Applicant gives us permission to use applicant’s name and photo, the photo submitted as part of this application, the name of the school, the type or amount of assistance provided and the use made of these supplies or funds on our website or in our newsletter.
